Epiphany Wellness in Hendersonville, TN is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support clients’ rehabilitation needs with structured, holistic care.

You will maintain a safe environment, perform observations, assist with daily schedules, conduct urinalysis, transport clients, document shift notes, and respond to crises as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in Recovery/Substance Abuse field preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with 2-year clean driving record required.
• Familiarity with 12-Step programs (AA/NA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, structured environment for clients through rounds and adherence to schedules.
• Observe medications (controlled substances) and ensure self-observation sheets are completed.
• Perform urinalysis and breathalyzer tests and report results to supervisors.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities per policy.
• Complete accurate intake, rounds, and shift notes; communicate via BHT chat.
• Respond to crisis situations (SI/HI, relapse, AMA) and escalate as needed.
• Build professional relationships with clients and staff; cover shifts if needed.

We are looking for a Behavioral Health Technician who will work closely with clients to support their rehabilitation needs, providing structured and holistic support that helps clients build the skills needed to overcome, heal, and sustain long-term recovery.

Full-time

Hourly Rate:

Up to $21 / per hour

Schedule:

2nd Shift; Wednesday through Sunday - 4pm to 12:30am CST OR

Split Shift; Monday through Wednesday - 4pm to 12:30am & Saturday/Sunday(s) - 8am to 4:30pm CST

What will your day look like? You will:

Maintain a safe, structured environment for clients through regular rounds, observation, and adherence to daily/weekly schedules.

Observe medication that is a controlled substance and ensure clients complete self-observation sheets.

Perform urinalysis and breathalyzer testing as assigned, documenting and reporting results to the appropriate supervisor.

Transport clients to appointments, clinical services, and activities in accordance with Epiphany’s driving policy.

Complete accurate documentation for intakes, rounds, and shift notes, and communicate clearly through BHT chat.

Respond to crisis situations, including SI/HI reporting, client altercations, relapse, or AMA situations, and elevate through the proper chain of command.

Build positive, professional relationships with clients and staff, and stay flexible for schedule needs including last-minute coverage.

What you will need for this position:

Minimum of 1 year in the Recovery/Substance Abuse field (preferred).

High School Diploma or GED.

CPR and Standard First Aid Certification (preferred).

Working knowledge of 12-Step Program, AA or NA (preferred).

Valid Driver’s License with a minimum 2-year clean driving record (required).
