Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide mental health interventions and support services to children and adolescents. Qualifications

  • Must meet one of the following: High School Diploma or Equivalent and ability to complete 40+ hours of training.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing behavioral health services.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance coverage required.

If so, we want you to join our team as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.

Employment Details

Status: Part Time, Hourly.
FLSA classification: Non-Exempt.

Summary of the Position

Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides intense individualized mental health interventions and support services in various community-based settings to children/adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses and their families. Settings include home, school, community settings (camp, daycare, etc.). The BHT is supervised by a Qualified Mental Health Professional, participates as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team, and implements specific treatment goals to enable children/adolescents to maintain and function at their best in the least restrictive setting.

Compensation

Pay Range: $17.50–$20.00 per hour.

Availability

Up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Must meet one of the following: High School Diploma or Equivalent and ability to complete 40+ hours of training OR
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing behavioral health services OR
  • Behavioral Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from an accredited organization OR
  • Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance coverage required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) speaking is a plus.
