The Mindful Lemon is looking for passionate, experienced Behavioral Health Technicians for our brand new 6-bed residential treatment center in Castaic, California!

Job Summary

Behavioral Health Technicians will report to the Program Director and manage patients in our 6-bed Social Rehabilitation Residential Program in Castaic, CA.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with admission procedures, including paperwork, room assignments, and initial orientation.
  • Conduct resident property searches as required.
  • Perform urine drug screens as needed.
  • Attend in-service training and educational workshops.
  • Participate in staff meetings.
  • Maintain knowledge of dependency, mental health, family systems, and community recovery resources such as AA and Smart Recovery.
  • Develop and maintain individualized resident progress records, including treatment plans, discharge summaries, and participation in various therapies.
  • Write clear, concise statements summarizing residents' feelings, expressions, and treatment responses.
  • Recognize behavioral crises and determine when additional assistance is necessary.
  • Identify personal recovery issues impacting job performance and interactions.
  • Uphold professional ethics, including confidentiality and boundaries.
  • Respect cultural and lifestyle diversities of residents and staff.
  • Facilitate specialty programs and groups as needed.
  • Understand and communicate approaches like Smart Recovery and 12-step programs.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and external resources.
  • Perform light housekeeping, room prep, meal supervision, and assistance.

Minimum Requirements
  • At least six months of experience in a 6-bed residential home.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical and TB clearance.
  • Criminal background check clearance.
  • Valid California Driver's License with a clean record.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
Compensation

$23/hour

Schedule

Overnight and on-call shifts available, as well as morning and evening shifts. Overnight: 10-6:30am, Sun-Thursday; Tues-Saturday; Fri-Monday.
