Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Aurora, CO is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for our inpatient detox and residential facility. You will manage daily residential operations, train the BHT team, and monitor client engagement in a supportive recovery setting.

We value leadership, empathy, and clear boundaries as you help maintain a warm, recovery-focused environment while enforcing program rules and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year sobriety required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character aligning with recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations (intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications).
• Train and support BHT team in operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a positive recovery environment.
• Ensure compliance with all Avenues rules, policies and procedures.

What You'll Do

• Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications etc.)
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures

What We're Looking For

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles
