Central Florida Behavioral Hospital in Orlando, FL seeks a Mental Health Tech to provide direct care to children, adolescents and adults with psychiatric disorders, ensuring safety and well-being on the unit. The role focuses on observation, milieu management, and assisting with daily living skills.

Responsibilities include patient monitoring, facilitating therapeutic groups, documenting in patient records, and helping maintain a therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Investigation.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Two years experience working in a psychiatric setting.
• CPR (May be acquired after hire)
• Hours: Day Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM (Rotating Weekends Required)
• Must be available to attend the full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM / Week 2: M & Tu 9 AM - 5 PM

Position Summary

The Mental Health Tech provides direct care to children, adolescents and adult patients with psychiatric disorders, to ensure the safety and well being of the patients. MHTs have the primary responsibility for ensuring the patient’s safety on the unit.
