Job summary

Aspire Health Partners in Sanford, FL is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) to support patient care and unit safety in residential and acute care settings. The role involves rounds, admission/discharge assistance, and documentation in the EHR, with emphasis on therapeutic environment and teamwork.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, Driver’s License, and a Level II background clearance; BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Level II background clearance required (Aspire covering fingerprinting costs).
• Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Assist in admission and discharge of clients, recognizing and addressing client needs.
• Conduct client rounds every 15 minutes to ensure safety and appropriate areas.
• Maintain supervision of clients and document changes or unusual behavior.
• Assist therapy and nursing staff in group activities and daily management of the unit.
• Maintain daily program schedule and ensure engagement in activities.
• Administer, analyze and document participant drug screenings.
• Provide supervised self-administration of medication when applicable.
• Document client treatment details in the Electronic Health Record.
• Communicate program changes or needs to the team.
• Assist with program operations as directed by management.
• Maintain regular observation as per program specs.
• Complete ongoing training and attend staff meetings.
• Monitor social activities and client visitation as directed.
