Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Waco is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support the nursing staff in maintaining a therapeutic milieu for adults and seniors with anxiety, depression and other mental health needs.

You will perform patient care activities under licensed nursing supervision, take vital signs and document observations accurately, while ensuring safety and adherence to policy and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Implements patient care activities under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing personnel; performs vital signs, weights, ADL, intake and output documentation.
• Ensures patients receive appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences.
• Documents patient observation and date accurately in the patient record. Handovers and departures from unit are recorded with accuracy.
