Job summary

Excentia is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for IBHS to support children and adolescents in real-world settings, including home, clinic, and community.

You will implement treatment plans, collect progress data, and communicate results to caregivers and the treatment team. Collaboration with families and supervision will ensure consistent, high-quality care.

Qualifications

Job description

**Job Title:** Behavioral Health Technician-IBHS Individual Services1. Provide assistant to child/adolescent in real-time to reinforce positive behaviors, teach coping skills, and provide emotional and behavioral support.2. Assists the child/adolescent manage emotional outbursts, anxiety, or other behavioral challenges by using de-escalation techniques.3. Provide guidance to parents, teachers, and other caregivers on implementing behavior plans consistently across settings.4. Collect data and monitor progress tracking the child’s/adolescent’s progress, documenting behavioral patterns, and reporting findings to the treatment team and adjust interventions as needed.5. Provide structured, hands-on support to help children and adolescents develop positive behaviors and succeed in their daily environments6. Complete all IBHS required training in their entirety.7. Maintain professional boundaries at all times.8. Work cooperatively with families, caregivers, and team members to provide children with the best possible care and treatment.9. Provide behavioral interventions in the home, clinic and community settings.10. Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the behavior specialist consultant or mobile therapist.11. Support the behavior specialist consultant or mobile therapist with training families on implementing the individualized treatment plans.12. Collect data about individual’s behaviors through direct observation and monitor progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan.13. Provide regular written and verbal progress updates on treatment plans.14. Assist the behavior specialist consultant or mobile therapist as directed with behavior reduction interventions and skill acquisition plans.15. Teach children/adolescents the specific behavior skills in a treatment plan.16. Communicate behavioral intervention results to individual’s parents and caregivers.17. Attend team meetings as needed and training workshops.18. Ensure the individual is in a safe and positive environment at all times.19. Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures20. Maintains ongoing confidential records of client files.21. Maintains acceptable attendance status, per agency policy22. Maintains professional documentation within established timeline and demonstrate effective time management skills.23. Follow policies and procedures of Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) and Excentia Human Services.24. Attend supervision as required by IBHS regulations.25. Ensure accurate and timely documentation.26. Submit billing accurately and timely.1. Provide ongoing intervention for each child/family.2. Consult with the client’s team as needed.3. Meet with the Clinical Director for IBHS Individual Services.4. Report safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies.5. Maintain confidentiality as per HIPAA and procedural safeguards.6. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and professional documents.3. Ability to respond to common inquiries from parents, case workers, or members of the mental health provider community.4. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.7. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.8. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.9. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.10. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.11. The employee is frequently required to stand; work; sit; use hands to finger; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.12. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.13. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.## Qualifications1. **QUALIFICATIONS**Must meet one of the following: * Have a certification as a BCaBA, RBT or BCAT.* Have a behavior health certification or behavior analysis certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.* Have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma and have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA.* Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services.1. **OTHER**Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Child Protective Service Act (Act 33) compliance and FBI clearance, NSOR, Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license/ acceptable driving record.***ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: I have reviewed and understand the requirements including the essential job functions and physical demands of my job description and I agree that I can perform these requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
