Job summary

Brightli in Columbia, MO is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician I to provide essential direct and supportive care to clients in a compassionate setting. The role focuses on safety, well-being, and helping individuals on their recovery journey.

You will monitor health indicators, respond to crises, and facilitate group activities while collaborating with the treatment team. Strong communication and empathetic engagement are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent and two years of responsible employment.
• Experience in Human Services or related field preferred.
• For St. Louis County Programs: Bachelor’s Degree or MAADC I or II.
• For Residential Care Facility: LIMA credential and Insulin Certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight and support to clients/patients, ensuring safety during daily activities.
• Monitor vital signs and health indicators, escalate to medical intervention when needed.
• Facilitate group education and structured activities to promote engagement and recovery.
• Document and report any exceptional behaviors or concerns related to clients/patients.
• Assist clients with personal care needs such as grooming, bathing, and dressing.
• Maintain records of medication administration and monitor self-administration of medications.
• Participate as an active member of the treatment team to identify strengths and needs.
• Ensure compliance with policies; manage medication storage and documentation.
• Provide transportation for clients to appointments as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
