Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required, unless state regulations require it.
• Current CNA certification or at least 6 months of bedside, direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support unit rules compliance.
• Demonstrate de-escalation and therapeutic interventions.
• Inventory patient belongings and secure contraband; conduct unit safety checks.
• Follow infection control policies and attend required in-services.
• Perform patient care activities under licensed staff supervision; document vital signs, weights, nutrition and observations.
