• Supports nursing staff in maintaining patient care standards.
• Keeps accurate documentation of observations and patient data.

• Continually monitors and supports compliance within unit rules.
• Demonstrates the ability to employ de-escalation and therapeutic interventions as needed.
• Inventories patient belongings accurately and secures contraband as needed; completes unit safety checks.
• Complies with standard/universal precautions and infection control policies.
• Implements patient care activities under supervision of licensed nursing personnel; performs vital signs, nutrition monitoring and communicates findings to the nurse.
• Assists patients with daily living activities and mobility needs as required.
• Individualizes patient care to age, disability, and cultural needs.
• Documents observations related to behavior and location with date and accuracy.
• Relays task outcomes to nursing staff and communicates ongoing patient needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
