Job summary

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• First Aid certification required within 30 days.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat children, adolescents, and adults seeking psychiatric or chemical dependency care.
• Communicate patient and family needs to physicians clearly and accurately.
• Familiarize with care plan and provide insights for care improvements.
• Coordinate with referrals, patients, families, and team members.
• Provide follow-up actions as needed.
• Serve as initial contact for patients, families, or agencies seeking support.
• Complete intake screening reports reflecting patient status and age.
• Perform vital signs checks and mini-mental status exams.
• Lead patients in therapeutic and recreational activities.
• Monitor wellbeing and report unusual changes to medical staff.
• Observe patients for safety with RN/LPN supervision and assist daily living activities.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

1 year Behavioral health experience (Preferred)

CPR/BLS Certification (Required within 30 days)

First Aid Certification (Required within 30 days)
