Job summary

Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to join the behavioral health team in Albuquerque, NM. You will work with nurses and the care team to provide compassionate, patient-centered support in a safe, therapeutic environment.

Full-time position with 12-hour day shifts. Benefits include tuition reimbursement and staff safety measures, with shift differentials for nights/weekends for eligible roles.

Qualifications

• Specialized training in basic patient care preferred (e.g. CNA, MA, NA, NT, nursing student who has completed skills labs)
• Experience assisting with activities of daily living and patient observation is valued

• Observe mood, behaviors and interactions; perform rounds and checks

Responsibilities:

• Works as a member of an interdisciplinary team in the treatment and care of patients hospitalized with a broad spectrum of behavioral health issues and diagnoses, such as substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, suicidal or homicidal behaviors, mental instability, or physical, sexual or emotional abuse.


• Observes patient mood, behaviors and interactions, performs patient rounds and precautionary checks, and assists with activities of daily living and patient care procedures as indicated under the direction of a licensed nurse.


• Performs activities to maintain a clean, organized, safe, and well-stocked patient care environment

Qualifications:

Specialized training in basic patient care preferred (e.g. CNA, MA, military medical training, NA, NT, nursing student who has completed skills labs or has at least 6 months experience in direct patient care)
