Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years’ experience with the population of the facility in a patient support role required.
• One or more years’ experience as a lead or previous supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical or therapeutic care under physician direction.
• Coordinate work and activities of assigned staff.
• Guide and support staff to build trust and cooperation.
• Assist patients with daily living activities and basic health care.
• Participate in therapeutic or recreational groups.
• Oversee admitting and discharging processes.
• Monitor patient well-being and report concerns.
• Document progress and services performed.
• Encourage participation in social and recreational activities.
• Lead or co-lead individual or group sessions.
• Collaborate with staff to rehabilitate and reintegrate patients.
• Provide transportation for patients as needed.
• Maintain positive, empathetic attitude and address complaints to ensure patient safety.
