Job summary

Mettle Works, a behavioral health program, seeks an IPS Employment Specialist in Upper Marlboro, MD to help individuals pursue and maintain competitive employment. You will engage clients, assess vocational interests, and coordinate with employers to explore suitable roles.

Responsibilities include providing follow-along supports, developing individualized employment plans, and discussing entitlements with clients while collaborating with families and the mental health team to ensure sustained

Qualifications

• Education and Experience equivalent to undergraduate degree in mental health, rehabilitation counseling or business.
• Experience working with people with mental illness and providing employment services.
• Ability to work as an effective team player.

Responsibilities

• Engages clients and builds trusting relationships toward competitive employment.
• Assists clients in understanding how earnings, SSI, Medicaid, and other entitlements affect employment.
• Refers clients to benefits counseling and reports earnings as needed.
