Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Rushford Center is seeking a dedicated team member to assist clinicians in providing coordinated services for adults with mental health and/or substance abuse needs. The role involves co-leading therapy groups, assisting with case management, and supporting treatment plans to achieve client outcomes.

You will monitor safety, assist with medication management, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associates in Drug and Alcohol Recovery Counseling, Human Services, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred.
• Two years of experience in behavioral health or substance abuse setting preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• CPR, CPI and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English required for Latino Program only.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care under the supervision of a licensed clinician; co-lead therapy groups and assist in case management.
• Support treatment plans, monitor progress, and document client responses and collateral contacts.
• Perform safety checks, monitor on-floor activities, and manage patient belongings per policy.
• Assist with medication management and related paperwork; coordinate with nursing/medical staff as needed.
• Engage with community resources and referrals to support post-discharge care.
• Facilitate treatment conferences, staff meetings, and in-service trainings to ensure quality care.
• Perform other related duties as required.
