Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s Rushford Center seeks an individual to assist clinicians in providing coordinated services for adults facing mental health and/or substance use challenges. You will participate in group sessions, help manage cases, and support treatment plans under supervision.

Qualifications include an associates or bachelor’s degree in a related field, with 2 years in behavioral health preferred. A valid driver’s license and CPR/CPI/First Aid certifications are desirable, with bilingual

Qualifications

• Associates or higher in a behavioral health related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in social work, psychology, or related field.
• Two years of behavioral health or substance abuse experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR, CPI and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English required for Latino Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and co‑lead therapy groups under supervision to support client outcomes.
• Implement and monitor behavioral plans, counseling support for clients and families to meet treatment goals.
• Conduct safety checks, floor monitoring, intakes, and searches per program protocols.
• Assist with medication management, documentation, and communication with nursing/medical staff.
• Engage with community resources, referrals, and post-discharge continuing care planning.
• Participate in treatment conferences, staff meetings, and required trainings.

Skills

Education

Associates in Drug and Alcohol Recovery Counseling or related field
