Job summary

Lakeview Center in Pensacola, FL seeks a Therapeutic Mentor to support counselors, nursing and therapeutic staff in residential, inpatient and outpatient settings. You will help adults and children access resources, establish positive relationships, and assist with daily living activities.

You will contribute to safety and treatment plan implementation, monitor progress, and coordinate care across programs. Valid driver's license and background screenings required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience working with children and families or 24 hours of college coursework.
• Knowledge of children with mental health concerns, families, and family systems preferred.
• Must provide integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services as required.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must pass organization/state background screenings.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Establish a positive helping relationship with persons receiving services.
• Assist with activities of daily living and accessing resources.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of persons served.
• Implement interventions according to the treatment or service plan.
• Monitor and document progress.
