Job summary

Curry County seeks a Substance Use and Behavioral Health Program Coordinator to administer SPF-PFS activities, ensure grant compliance, and drive community outreach. You will coordinate prevention education and engage stakeholders across schools, law enforcement, and community organizations.

The role emphasizes strong writing, communication, and organizational skills, with duties spanning program planning, implementation, and assessment under supervision of the Community Program Manager.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Ability to obtain Certified Prevention Specialist within two years of hire, if not already certified.
• Strong writing and oral communication skills.
• Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, Canva.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to set up and maintain program monitoring systems.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish helpful.
• Experience with City/County/State Government preferred.
• Ability to work independently and exercise discretionary judgment.
• Valid NM Driver’s License with no recent DWI.
