Job summary

Pitkin County Public Health seeks an Administrator to lead the Behavioral Health Strategic Plan, govern funding, convene advisory groups, and coordinate cross‑department collaboration. The role requires strategic leadership, strong facilitation, and ability to engage partners to improve behavioral health outcomes.

You will work with the County Manager’s Office, community partners, and funders to align investments, monitor performance, and report results.

Qualifications

• 3+ years supervising or leading a department or function.
• 5+ years in Public Health, Human Services, Behavioral Health or related fields with facilitation, planning and implementation.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance and funding efforts for the Behavioral Health Strategic Plan.
• Convene advisory groups and work groups; coordinate with County leadership.
• Coordinate BH funding, manage contracts and grant requirements, monitor expenditures.
• Develop and update BH policies and quality assurance practices.
• Provide administrative leadership for BH initiatives and workforce development.
• Represent the County in regional BH planning bodies and presentations.
