Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks a Behavioral Health Specialist / Crisis Clinician to join our team. The role provides psychosocial services to patients in the ED and inpatient behavioral health, conducting comprehensive assessments and supporting recovery and safety planning.

Requirements include an MSW degree and CT licensure; excellent written and verbal communication, knowledge of community resources, and strong social work

Responsibilities

• Perform psychosocial assessments for adults, adolescents, and children in ED and inpatient behavioral health.
• Provide consultation to other clinicians to manage psychosocial issues affecting treatment adherence.
• Evaluate patient safety and coordinate referrals for treatment as needed.
• Advocate for patients and families; ensure safe, comprehensive discharge planning.

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center and a member of Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Behavioral Health Specialist /Crisis Clinician to join our team.

The Crisis Clinician / Social Worker / Therapist provides psycho-social services to adult, adolescent and child patients seen in the Emergency Department and Inpatient Behavioral Health at Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center.

Conducts a comprehensive assessment to identify psychosocial problems which interfere with recovery from illness or prevent a healthy lifestyle.

Provides consultation to other health care providers to assist in the management of psychosocial problems interfering with compliance with other treatment regimens.

Performs assessments, provides support to patients and families and is a patient advocate to assure appropriate cares is received.

Evaluates patient safety and collaborates with the healthcare team to makes appropriate referrals for treatment.

Effectively communicates with patients, families and the integrated clinical team to ensure everyone understands the needs of the patient to ensure a safe discharge plan is created.

Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.

Requirements

Education: MSW degree from an accredited School of Social Work or Behavioral Health Field required. CT licensure in appropriate professional designation required , i.e. Clinical Social Worker, Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor. Excellent written and verbal communication, knowledge of community resources, social work theory and practice.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $46.15 per hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
