Job summary

Trinity Health's Saint Francis Hospital is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for the 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. night shift.

You will collect patient data, assist with daily living activities, transport patients, and help maintain safety in an acute care setting. Requirements include a high school diploma and BLS certification. Connecticut nurse aide training preferred, with related healthcare experience considered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CT-approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning related degree with clinical completed.
• Proof with college transcript or significant nurse assistant/healthcare experience required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and report patient information and data.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Provide patient transport and deliver needed items to patient rooms.
• Collect specimens as needed.
• Support nursing staff by distributing linens and supplies.

Employment Type: Part time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift

Description: At Saint Francis Hospital the Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.

What you will do

• Collect and report patient information and data
• Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
• Patient Transport
• Collection of specimens
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients
• As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experience.
• Proof with college transcript required OR have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience is required.

Certification: BLS certification required

Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting preferred

Ability to pass drug screening and background check

Pay Range: $18.05 - $25.60 per hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
