Job summary

Mercy Health in Kentucky seeks a Behavioral Health Specialist for the Lourdes Hospital Adult Behavioral Health Unit to provide direct patient care under supervision and in accordance with applicable regulations and hospital policies.

You will liaise between patients and nursing staff, document care accurately, and participate in ongoing education. Requirements include a high school diploma and preferred BLS or related certifications; 1 year in mental health or health care setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a mental health or health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision in accordance with regulations and policies.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes and share information.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely.
• Completes patient rounds and safety checks as assigned.
• Participates in continued education and in-service training.

Education
