Job summary

Signet Health, in partnership with Ozarks Healthcare, seeks an Administrative Director of the Behavioral Health Service Line in West Plains, MO. Lead inpatient, outpatient, crisis, and consultative BH services, drive integration, and ensure patient-centered, financially sustainable care.

The role partners with Ozarks senior leadership to advance quality, access, and growth while aligning with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in healthcare, Business Administration or related degree.
• Nursing degree and minimum of five years’ experience preferred.
• Progressive Behavioral Health operations experience for a minimum of 10 years with at least 5 years in a director’s role or higher.
• Experience in managing physician relationships.
• Experience developing and implementing a continuous improvement culture with process improvement methodologies.
• Experience with Missouri governmental oversight, reimbursement and regulation for BH services.
• Demonstrated leadership across multiple levels of care preferred.
• Experience building relationships with physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Strategic planning, budgeting, financial management, and program development experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for inpatient, outpatient, crisis, and community-based BH services.

Responsibilities

• Advance physician engagement and drive operational excellence in patient care delivery.
• Recruit physicians, advanced practice providers, and management staff for behavioral health.
• Oversee business development and marketing efforts for the behavioral health service line.
• Develop and implement strategic operating and capital budgets.
• Provide oversight to a 22-bed inpatient BH program, CC BH clinics, crisis center and consult liaison service.
• Plan and implement behavioral health system integration across Ozarks Healthcare.
• Collaborate to improve performance on national quality measures.
• Serve as the BH subject-matter expert within the leadership team.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for BH across inpatient, outpatient, crisis and consultative services.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive BH strategy for integration, access, quality, growth and sustainability.
• Build relationships with physicians and APPs to strengthen engagement and clinical performance.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention and development of BH providers and leaders.
• Oversee development and execution of operational, financial, and capital plans for the BH Service Line.
• Monitor metrics and develop action plans to address performance opportunities.
• Improve reimbursement, revenue integrity, and resource utilization with leaders.
• Ensure compliance with federal and Missouri requirements and accreditation standards.
• Lead coordination across inpatient, outpatient, crisis, ED, primary care and other areas.
