Job summary

United Security Inc. seeks a Part-time Behavioral Health Officer in Middletown, CT to support behavioral health patients under medical supervision. You will de-escalate crises, observe patients, and report changes to clinical staff.

Requires CT Guard Card, high school diploma or GED, CPR/BLS, and hands-on psychiatric restraint training with a de-escalation-first approach. Shifts Fri–Mon, 4pm–12am, 32 hours per week, $30/hour.

Qualifications

• CT Guard Card
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Certifications: CPR or BLS certification required on hire.
• Two years of direct patient care in health/behavioral health settings with de-escalation emphasis.

Responsibilities

• De-escalation & crisis management to safely handle aggressive or agitated patients.
• Patient observation and documentation of changes; report to nurses or psychiatrists.
• Provide therapeutic support with empathy to calm individuals.
• Maintain officer presence to deter aggression and ensure safety.
