Job summary

Ascension is recruiting for a Behavioral Health Security role at Via Christi, St. Joseph in Wichita, KS. This full-time night shift position focuses on maintaining a safe healing environment through proactive patrols, rapid emergency responses, and staff training on safety standards.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1 year of related experience preferred. Licensure such as BLS is preferred; other certifications may be substituted as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 1 year of applicable experience recommended.
• BLS Provider preferred; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Security-related licensure/certification may substitute education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Secure the Healing Environment through proactive patrols and monitoring.
• Lead rapid-response protocols during security incidents and emergencies.
• Mentor staff on emergency preparedness and Environment of Care standards.
• Document security narratives to identify hazards and improve safety.
