Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Scheduler & Survey Liaison in Orlando, FL to coordinate behavioral health appointments and act as a bridge among doctors, hospitals, insurers, patients, and families. The role also includes managing data for the USNWR survey to improve departmental metrics.

The position emphasizes accurate scheduling, timely referrals, and collaboration with the authorization team to secure pre-certifications, with a focus on continuity of care

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; relevant healthcare experience may substitute.
• At least 1 year in an administrative healthcare role.
• AHA BLS certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9 codes, and medical terminology.
• Scheduling experience preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Schedule behavioral health appointments accurately.
• Serve as liaison among referrers, hospitals, insurers, patients, and families.
• Manage data for USNWR survey and track performance metrics.
• Prepare discharge summaries and medication lists as needed.
• Collect patient demographics and insurance details.
• Receive referrals via phone, e-transmission, walk-ins, or mail.
• Maintain a referral log and meet response-time guidelines.
• Coordinate with authorization to secure pre-certifications.
• Assist with post-discharge follow-up and continuity of care.
