Job summary

Red River Hospital in Wichita Falls, TX is seeking an RN for a 13-week temporary assignment with 3x12hr shifts. Day shift $50/hr, Night shift $55/hr; opportunity to convert to full-time with benefits. Travel stipends are not provided.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, care planning, and medication administration within regulatory guidelines, with a strong emphasis on behavioral health care.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral health experience is a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about health conditions.
• Administer medications per orders and document accordingly.
• Coordinate unit activities and communicate with patients, families, and staff.
