Job summary

Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee nursing care on an assigned unit serving children and teens with behavioral health needs.

You will deliver patient care in a 106-bed facility, adhere to nursing standards and policies, administer medications, monitor status, and participate in milieu management. Day shifts are 7:00am–7:00pm with rotating weekends; a $10,000 sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with active RN licensure in Virginia.
• 1+ year RN experience; behavioral health preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing process, crisis management, and behavioral health care.
• Clear communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, implement, and evaluate nursing care on assigned unit.
• Monitor and document residents' behavior and status.
• Administer medications and treatments per policies.
• Respond to crises in collaboration with nursing leadership.
• Maintain clinical competence in Milieu Management and direct patient care.
