Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care for residents and patients. The RN adheres to Nursing Standards, Facility Policies and Procedures, and the Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities include delivering care via the nursing process, documenting status, administering medications, guiding crisis responses with the nursing team, and maintaining clinical competence.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with Virginia RN licensure.
• 1+ year nursing experience; behavioral health preferred.
• Knowledge of addictions and psychiatric nursing process.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, direct, implement, and evaluate nursing care on the assigned unit.
• Monitor, document residents' behavior and physiological status.
• Administer medications and treatments per policies.
• Lead response to crises in collaboration with nursing leadership.
• Demonstrate clinical competence in direct patient care and milieu management.
• Report conditions to oncoming shifts accurately.
