Job summary

Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Behavioral Health on a full-time Day shift (36 hours/week, 7a-7p). You will work rotating weekends and holidays to support patient-centered care.

The RN coordinates care with the care team, assesses patients, performs procedures, documents thoroughly, and advocates for patients and families within the organization’s standards.

Qualifications

• NH RN license required.
• Associate degree in nursing required.
• 6 months RN experience required.
• CPR/BLS and NCI certifications within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered and documents care in the medical record.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs to deliver compassionate care.
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary team to deliver a holistic treatment plan.
• Interfaces with providers and community resources for ongoing care.
