Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Behavioral Health on the night shift, with rotating weekends and a 6:30/7:00 start. A $20,000 commitment bonus is offered for a two-year commitment.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team across adult and geriatric psych units. The BHU emphasizes teamwork, safety upgrades, and collaboration with psychiatrists and a medical director.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Current LPN license to practice in Kentucky and BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process for behavioral health patients.
• Collaborates with the interprofessional team to support a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Performs plan-of-care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to the care team and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and coordinates care across disciplines.
• Assesses learning needs and delivers age- and culture-appropriate education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
