Job summary

Cottonwood Springs, a 108-bed behavioral health facility within Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team. You will assess patients, plan care, supervise shifts, and uphold nursing policies to deliver compassionate, high-quality care.

The role requires a Kansas or Compact RN license, ADN (BSN preferred), and BLS certification; ACLS/PALS preferred and should be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas or Compact state.
• ADN is required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred but must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient and plan care within set timeframes and document findings according to policies.
• Oversee and supervise the shift.
• Demonstrate leadership through duties such as groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc.
• Ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is delivered by self and team.
• Monitor patient for changes in condition and notify the physician as needed.
• RN will follow hospital policy for medication administration.
• Demonstrate empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients.
• Delivery of quality nursing care per treatment plans and hospital policies.
• Assist with comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients.
