Job summary

Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (Behavioral Health) to support physicians in direct and indirect patient treatment. The RN will perform charting to ensure accurate records and complete initial physical and psychological assessments as directed by physicians.

Hours are 7am–7:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation. Compensation range is provided with the opportunity to develop professionally through on-site training and tuition reimbursement programs.

Qualifications

• Active RN in the State of IL.
• ADN (Required).
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of hire.
• BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients' conditions and care delivery through direct observation, rounding, and data input from other team members.
• Collects pertinent data and information relative to the patient's health or the situation; recognizes normal and abnormal findings.
• Coordinates bed and patient care assignments during shift and in preparation for the next shift.
• Plans and evaluates care in collaboration with appropriate disciplines for assigned patients.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnosis, problems, and issues.
• Documents and reports care delivered to physicians and other team members as needed.
• Employs teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
• Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes; reports data to physicians/other disciplines.
• Implements care and supervises care delivered by team members in alignment with the plan of care.
