Job summary

Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Intake & Assessment in Behavioral Health. This role supports adults and seniors on a 36-bed unit, coordinating intake interviews, assessing medical needs, documenting clinical data, and collaborating with physicians, social workers, and therapists to tailor care.

You will join a team dedicated to crisis stabilization, detoxification, and acute psychiatric care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state or compact state.
• Associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and identify care needs.
• Initiate and implement nursing interventions.
• Deliver age-appropriate care for adults and older patients.
• Document medical necessity and nursing activities promptly.
• Complete and revise interdisciplinary care plans for assigned patients.
• Conduct timely Quality Improvement assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
