Job summary

Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Intake & Assessment Clinician for Behavioral Health. This fulltime night shift role supports a 3x12 schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and focuses on comprehensive behavioral health intake, assessment, and interdisciplinary care planning.

Ideal candidates hold a state RN license, an associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred), and BLS certification, with prior behavioral health and intake experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license (or compact state).
• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Behavioral Health experience required.
• Intake & Assessment experience preferred.
• Experience with patients 18+ and older (adult/geriatric).

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify individual care needs.
• Initiate and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Deliver care appropriate to the condition and age of each patient.
• Document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for assigned patients.
• Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to work with children, adolescents, adults (18+) or geriatric patients in mental health crises.
