Job summary

Red Rock Behavioral Health Services in Norman is seeking a qualified RN for a full-time position at our Norman location. The RN will reassure patients and families, communicate with doctors, and tend to patient needs.

The role includes nursing assessments, administering medications, coordinating with the psychiatrist, documenting care, and supervising Mental Health Assistants as needed. This position offers a stable work environment with opportunities for ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing assessments to identify client needs and plan of care.
• Provides treatment for existing and emergency health conditions.
• Assesses medical appropriateness for admission and monitors throughout stay.
• Collaborates with Psychiatrist on changes in medical status and referrals.
• Administers medications and maintains clinical charts.
• Monitors patient reactions to medications and therapies and documents accordingly.
• Counts and secures locked medications each shift.
• Attends staff meetings and training as required.
