Job summary

Devereux New Jersey Nursing team seeks an RN to provide clinical support across residential and day programs. The role combines field, office, and remote work to cover programs in Somerset, Ocean and Monmouth counties.

The ideal candidate is licensed in New Jersey, with 1 year of nursing experience preferred and a passion for adults with developmental needs. A collaborative, servant-leadership oriented environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as an RN in the state of New Jersey.
• One year of nursing experience preferred, but New Grads will also be considered.
• Previous professional experience in a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
• Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor.
• Have a strong passion for working with and helping adults with special needs.
• Comfortable traveling to different group homes.

Responsibilities

• The RN reports directly to the Director of Nursing and provides nursing support in a hybrid capacity.
• Provide nursing assessments and monitoring for residents.
• Complete annual Nursing Assessments for each residential individual.
• Conduct quarterly choking assessments for high-risk individuals in day and residential programs.
• Review medication charts, labs and counts for accuracy.
• Coordinate with primary care physicians and other doctors as needed.
• Ensure required documentation is received.
