Job summary

Devereux New Jersey Nursing team seeks a Registered Nurse to support residential programs in Somerset, Ocean and Monmouth Counties, with hybrid duties across field, office and remote as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as an RN in New Jersey.
• One year of nursing experience preferred; new grads considered.
• Previous experience in behavioral healthcare preferred.
• Flexible, patient, energetic, creative, with a sense of humor.
• Strong passion for working with adults with special needs.
• Willingness to travel to different group homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support in hybrid capacity across field, office and remote as needed.
• Complete annual Nursing Assessments for each residential individual.
• Conduct quarterly choking assessments for high-risk individuals.
• Review dietary changes for day and residential programs.
• Conduct specialized training for new hire orientations and ongoing.
• Review medications charts, labs and medication counts for accuracy.
• Assist group homes with primary care physician coordination as needed.
• Ensure proper documentation is received for all charts.
