Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2S Behavioral Health unit. The RN assesses, plans, provides, and evaluates direct patient care according to the Michigan Nurse Practice Act and unit standards.

You will participate in maintaining a safe patient care environment and begin leadership and preceptor roles when ready. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, observing patient behavior, and administering medications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess valid State of Michigan Nursing License.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• CPI certification within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred: inpatient psychiatric nursing experience.
• Minimum 1 year of staff nurse experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts, documents, and communicates patient assessments.
• Observes patient behavior and reports potential problem situations to Charge Nurse and physicians.
• Administers medications to patient as directed and documents in patient chart.
