Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Accepts assignment to any behavioral health unit.
• CPI training within 30 days of hire.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values; communicates them to others.
• Delivers nursing care per Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.
• Administers medications and therapies safely.
• Assists with admitting, discharging and transfers.
• Transcribes and implements physician orders.
• Maintains accurate nursing records and patient care plans.
• Provides patient education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Communicates with nursing, administration, and physicians clearly.
