Job summary
Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for our Behavioral Health unit on the geriatric floor. You will provide patient care, educate patients and families, support recovery, and participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning. Shift: Days, 7:00 am–7:30 pm with rotating holidays and weekends.

Qualifications
- Must have current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
- Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
- Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on the behavioral health unit, including assessment, monitoring and treatment.
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-management.
- Assist with crisis intervention, medication administration and therapeutic activities.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and discharge planning.
