Job summary

Desert Parkway Behavioral Healthcare Hospital in Las Vegas seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its clinical team in a behavioral health setting. You will deliver direct patient care, perform psychiatric assessments, and respond to crises to maintain a safe therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities include administering medications, collaborating with psychiatrists and therapists, and documenting care in electronic records. Nevada RN licensure and BLS/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Minimum one year behavioral health experience preferred.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical and psychiatric nursing assessments.
• Administer medications and document responses accurately.
• Monitor patient safety and use de-escalation techniques.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and treatment teams.
• Maintain complete electronic medical records in compliance with mental health laws.
• Conduct suicide assessments and follow precautions.
