Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is looking for a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse (RN) for their Ocala, Florida location. This role is key in providing exceptional mental health care and participating in treatment planning. Applicants should have at least an associate degree in nursing and be licensed in Florida. Ideal candidates will have experience in mental health, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in crisis situations. Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years experience in the mental health field preferred.
• Licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse required.
• Work hours: 24 hours/week (two 12-hour shifts) per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Participate in crisis intervention as needed.
• Uphold compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
