Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in Behavioral Health – Admissions/Discharges for a full-time, 40-hour week (Tuesday–Friday). A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered with a 2-year commitment.

The RN will assess patients, initiate appropriate nursing interventions, document medical necessity, and maintain the Interdisciplinary Care Plan and QI activities. Benefits include comprehensive coverage and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred but not required.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to the patient’s condition and age.
• Perform timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.
