Job summary

St. Vincent's Behavioral Health Center in Westport, CT is seeking a Per Diem Float Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients.

The role supports a 76-bed inpatient facility serving children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and dual diagnosis needs. Your duties include conducting bio-psychosocial assessments, developing individualized care plans, and participating in treatment conferences to meet age-specific needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the CT Department of Public Health.
• BLS Provider credential (AHA or Red Cross) within 60 days of hire.
• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Develop a nursing plan of care aligned with the master treatment plan.
• Participate in treatment team conferences to set goals and interventions.
• Implement nursing care and co-lead group therapy sessions.
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with the team to revise goals and interventions.
• Document comprehensive nursing care plans with patient/family input.
• Provide direct patient care per physician orders and protocols.
• Monitor changes in patient status and revise the plan accordingly.
• Delegate care activities to nursing staff as appropriate.
• Engage with interdisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes.
