Job summary

Kootenai Health in Idaho is seeking a registered nurse for the Behavioral Health - Adult Acute department. The role emphasizes relationship-based care, safe medication administration, and collaborative practice with physicians and inter-professional teams.

You will educate patients and families, set care goals, and monitor outcomes to improve care quality. Eligible candidates will have a nursing degree, Idaho RN license, and 3+ years of patient-facing RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program required.
• Licensed RN with minimum 3 years' patient-facing RN experience at time of hire.
• ADN or Diploma required; BSN or higher preferred.
• Active Idaho RN license or pending licensure with multi-state option.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, implements, and documents nursing care for an assigned patient population.
• Assists physician during examinations and procedures.
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within RN scope.
• Promotes patient independence through education and goal setting.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures; maintain attendance.
• Competent to meet age-specific needs of the unit.
