Job summary

Advocate Health’s Behavioral Health unit at Advocate South Suburban Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, coordinating with families and the care team across the continuum.

The role requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience, BLS certification, and an active RN license. Expect three 12-hour shifts weekly with every other weekend and holidays, in a 36-hour weekly schedule at a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the applicable state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans as needed.
• Maintains a culture of safety and accurate documentation in EHR.
• Collaborates with the care team and delegates appropriately.
• Maintains professional development and required certifications.
