Job summary

Banner Behavioral Health Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Resource Registered Nurse to provide flexible nursing support across the campus with primary assignments in Central Intake and Assessment. You will assess patients, facilitate admissions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient care.

The role includes floating to support multiple departments, with night shifts (6PM-6:30AM) and three 12-hour shifts per week.

Qualifications

Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
BLS certification is required.
Experience in acute care hospital setting is desired.
Arizona fingerprint clearance card requirements for Banner facilities may apply.

Responsibilities

Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational and discharge planning needs.
Formulate and revise the plan of care in collaboration with patient/family and health team.
Implement and supervise nursing care per physician orders and policies.
Evaluate patient progress and adjust care and teaching as needed.
Document assessments, plans and outcomes in the patient record.
Participate in education, role development and mentoring as appropriate.
Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety efforts.
Interacts with staff, patients and families to support optimal care.
Coordinate with departments to ensure continuity of care.
Interacts with providers and family to support care decisions.
