Job summary

Family & Children's Services in Norman, OK is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist to ensure timely reimbursement by maintaining accurate client eligibility information and resolving errors before claims are filed. You'll work closely with clinicians to improve processes and productivity.

Responsibilities include generating reports with Report Manager and PICIS, verifying demographics, eligibility, services, diagnoses, and authorizations in the EHR, and collaborating with staff to correct errors.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience with Medicaid and ODMHSAS eligibility verification, billing, and authorizations in an outpatient behavioral health setting.
• Experience with Medicare and other third party billings is a plus.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Generate and complete assigned reports using the EHR system, Report Manager, and PICIS.
• Verify and update client information in the EHR, including demographics, eligibility, services, diagnoses, and authorizations.
• Collaborate with staff and outside entities to correct errors and resolve issues.
• Execute tasks following departmental processes and meet department goals.
• Review clinicians' daily billing reports for accuracy.
• Recommend updates to capture billing timely for the program.
